
Course Description
This new and specialist programme is aimed at those students who are contemplating a career in government or international policy-based organisations, or are already working in such institutions. It reflects the Department's teaching and research strengths in policy issues, in both microeconomic and macroeconomic policy. Programme content The programme comprises 180 credits in total (credits are given in brackets). Compulsory courses: Microeconomics I (20) Macroeconomics II (30) Econometrics (30) Economic Regulation and Competition Policy (20) Either Development Economic Policy (20) or International Trade Policy (20) Plus Option (20) Dissertation (40) The option is selected from: International Trade Policy International Banking: Regulation and Supervision Economics of Financial Markets International Investment Development Economic Policy Political Economy and Economics Policy Risk, Uncertainty and Information Topics in Money and Banking A graduate course offered elsewhere (subject to approval)
